Seven major programs conduct studies, facilitate workshops, and undertake other activities: Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education; Earth and Life Studies; Engineering and Physical Sciences; Health and Medicine; Policy and Global Affairs; Transportation Research Board; and the Gulf Research Program.
